The Italian Dolomites provide a unique example of Triassic platforms and an ideal laboratory for reservoir geologists. The morphologies and architecture are displayed at the seismic-scale. The preserved platform-to-basin relationships allow a complete characterisation of the stratigraphic succession. Diagenesis has caused partial dolomitisation of the sediments, although the exact processes remain poorly understood. Field trip organised by the AAPG student chapter of the University of LaSalle Beauvais (France), with the SC of the University of Manchester (UK).
